By G. S. Robertson", Surgeon I. M. S., Officiating Civil Surgeon, Kheri. On February the 9th, at 2 p. M., a male child aged 5 days, was brought to the Sudr Dispensary. There was no anus nor any bulging in that region ; genital organs were developed ; abdomen distended and its superficial veins prominent and congested ; child very restless, and had at noon vomited faecal matter. An incision was made where the anus should have been and the rectum sought for as far as prudence would allow. No trace of the bowel being fouud, this operation
